Getting a grasp on adventure
Adventure can mean different things to different people, what's your idea of adventure?
For me adventure means starting anew, changing career and going it alone. For others (my nephews) this can mean working in Inner Mongolia one year and then trekking across South America the next!
“Simple changes in your professional or personal life can be an adventure. What's your goal, what do you want out of life?”
Travelling the world or changing careers isn't for everyone, you're probably really happy with what you are currently doing, but are you reaching your full potential? Do you have any life goals, ambitions or targets that you want to reach, if you don't why not? Is it because you don't want to rock the status quo, don't see the point or really just can't be bothered. If you can't be bothered then you've probably not even got past my home page.
However, if you do have a faint heart acceleration at the thought of being more adventurous by pushing yourself now is the time to think about what you want to achieve. Where do you see yourself over the next few years, or further?
Does your boss set you objectives or targets? If not then maybe it's time to start asking questions and get some goals in place to help you achieve your own adventure.
