The importance of having a personal brand and what mine means to me
Creating your brand is a personal journey. It represents you, your values, your mission and ethos, and all of these factors not only have to underpin something you believe in, but they have to attract and resonate with your ideal client.
Now that we are living in a remote, digital environment your brand will come first before personality, so it's even more so the shopfront to your business.
For my business I wanted something that that summed up my approach, my personality and my methods.
Throughout our education we are taught hard skills that enable us to first determine a career and then perform the functions within that career, but we are never taught how to cope with the pressures it brings about.
I've seen enough people flounder and burn in their roles, taking on more responsibility and not being able to cope, but not wanting to speak out in case they look weak.
I wanted to make a difference, be that person that you can be honest with, so you can be honest with yourself, to help people grow and flourish.
I brainstormed a few names but the one that summarised all of the above was Blossom.
The flower that depicts my brand is the Japanese Cherry Blossom, Sakura, which means renew, rebirth.
